Job Summary
At Vancouver Coastal Health, we are seeking a skilled Endocrinologist to join our team as a Transplant Endocrinologist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on enhancing the quality of life for patients undergoing solid organ, bone marrow, hematologic stem cell, and islet cell transplants.
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Endocrinologist with expertise in transplant endocrinology. As a Transplant Endocrinologist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive endocrinological care to patients undergoing solid organ and islet cell transplants. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate immune therapies and endocrinological management.
- Provide comprehensive endocrinological care to patients undergoing solid organ and islet cell transplants.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate immune therapies and endocrinological management.
- Conduct patient assessments, including physical examinations, diagnostic testing, and interpretation of laboratory results.
- Monitor and manage hormonal therapies and immunosuppressive regimens to optimize transplant outcomes.
- Engage in clinical research and contribute to the advancement of the transplant endocrinology field through publications and presentations.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) full licensure.
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership.
- Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) certification.
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons certification in Endocrinology.
- Advanced training and expertise in Transplant Endocrinology, specifically with solid organ, hematologic, and islet cell transplant patients.
- Demonstrated experience with immune therapies and their applications in transplant medicine.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of endocrinology and transplantation.
