Job Summary

As a Senior Director, Commercial Banking, you will be responsible for growing the portfolio of business clients assigned to you. Your duties will include identifying and developing business opportunities, increasing your commercial client base, and establishing business development strategies.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Business Development: Identify and develop business opportunities in your market, increase your commercial client base, and establish business development strategies.
  2. Client Support: Help your clients attain their business objectives by proposing financial strategies based on the most suitable combination of Bank products and services.
  3. Negotiation and Risk Management: Negotiate the terms and conditions of agreements with clients, while making sure that they meet risk management standards and profitability criteria.
  4. Business Planning: Draw up business development plans.
  5. Networking: Actively participate in various networking activities (cocktails, conferences, etc.).
  6. Teamwork: Work in synergy with all the other departments of the Bank.
About the Team

As a member of the Commercial Banking and Private Banking sector, you will join a team of professionals that supports business clients. You will also be surrounded by an ecosystem of specialists, like financing solutions managers, who will help you offer the solutions that best suit our clients' needs.

You will report to the Regional Vice-President and manage a portfolio of clients covering the Vancouver region.

Our training programs use on-the-job learning to help you master your role. You can access personalized training content on topics such as banking solutions and the advisory approach to support your ongoing learning.

Requirements
  1. Experience: At least 5 to 9 years' experience in sales and business development within the financial industry.
  2. Education: Bachelor's degree and 7 years' experience.
  3. Skills: Experience in sales and business development, analysis of financial statements, commercial credit, and a network of professional contacts among local medium-sized enterprises and large companies.
