Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range for this position, estimated at $80-$110 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a comprehensive compensation package, employees also enjoy benefits such as four weeks of vacation, extended health and dental coverage, and a municipal pension plan. Casual employees can opt for paid benefits. Furthermore, eligible positions are available with financial support for moving expenses.
Job Description
As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in our pharmacy department at Bulkley Valley District Hospital. Your primary responsibilities will include providing expert advice to healthcare professionals, monitoring drug prescribing and distribution, and ensuring safe and effective use of medications. You will work closely with an interprofessional team to assess and recommend individualized treatments, providing patient-centered care that demonstrates empathy and respect for diverse cultures and preferences.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess a baccalaureate degree in Pharmacy and current licensure with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia. Completion of a hospital pharmacy residency program or a combination of at least one year of hospital experience and advanced education courses is highly desirable. Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists is encouraged. Key skills and abilities required include assessment and treatment, teaching, knowledge integration, communication, critical thinking, human caring and relationship-centered practice, management, leadership, teamwork, and equipment operation.
