Security Services Professional

Armour Security and Protection Services Corporation (ASPS) is a leading security company in British Columbia offering a wide range of security services, including Security Guard Services, Mobile Patrol, and Event Security.
We are currently seeking AST-certified Security Guards to join our team for long-term, permanent positions in the Lower Mainland. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for our clients and their employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lawful and Ethical Conduct: Act lawfully and with honesty and integrity, treating everyone with courtesy, equality, and without discrimination.
- Licensing and Identification: Always carry a valid security worker's license while on duty.
- Punctuality and Appearance: Arrive on time in uniform and neatly dressed.
- Surveillance and Theft Prevention: Be vigilant for theft and assist store employees by creating a deterrent to theft through presence and apprehension of shoplifters.
- Arrest and Use of Force: Ensure arrests comply with the Criminal Code of Canada (Sections 494, 25, & 26).
- Pursuit of Suspects: Pursue shoplifters safely and only on foot, avoiding unsafe actions such as vehicular pursuits.
- Incident Reporting: Report all criminal incidents to store management and submit detailed reports before the end of your shift.
- Interaction with Customers and Employees: Limit conversations to necessary interactions and do not use personal electronic devices except in emergencies.
- Shift Protocols: Report to store management at the beginning of each shift and sign the security log.
Requirements:
- License: Valid Security Worker's License.
- Certification: Current basic Security Training (BST) certificate.
- Experience: At least 1 year of AST experience required.
- Skills: Excellent communication, observational, and problem-solving skills.
