Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Teacher to fill a Grade 6/7 position in our intermediate education program. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in a multi-grade classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure student success
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent
  • Recent practicum or experience teaching at an intermediate level
  • Ability to integrate experiential learning activities into the core curriculum
  • Experience working with First Nation students and families in an educational setting
  • Ability to work collaboratively with community Elders and families

  • Eagerness to learn about and integrate First Nation culture and language into the classroom
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Ability to motivate learners and promote a positive school culture
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
