Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent
  • Recent practicum or experience teaching at an intermediate level
  • Experience integrating experiential learning activities into the core curriculum
  • Recent experience working with First Nation students and families in an educational setting
  • Experience teaching in a multi-grade class
  • Experience working in a rural community school

  • Eagerness to learn about and integrate Kaska Dena culture and worldview into the classroom
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain an authentic relationship with Ross River Dena Council government, community members, community Elders, and families
  • Keenness to live, work, and participate as an active member of the Ross River community

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills
