The St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital is seeking a skilled Digital Imaging Specialist to join its Diagnostic Imaging team.
Salary: $36,840 - $51,770 per year
About the Job:
As a Digital Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, reviewing requisitions, and ensuring proper protocols are followed. You will also prepare patients for scans, review images, and discuss findings with radiologists. Additionally, you will ensure patient care and safety during procedures and perform quality control measures on equipment as recommended.

Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Magnetic Resonance Imaging program
- Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) in MRI
- At least six months of recent MRI experience
- Preference given to applicants with Medical Radiation Technology (MRT) education and experience
- Current BLS certification
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety
- Physical ability to perform the essential duties of the job
- Excellent attendance record
