At St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MRI Technologist who can provide high-quality patient care and safety during procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for magnetic resonance imaging scanning, reviewing requisitions, ensuring proper protocols, preparing patients for scan, reviewing images, and discussing findings with Radiologists.

About the Role

This is a Regular Part-Time position that requires the ability to work all shifts applicable to the department, including days, afternoons, weekends, and holidays. The MRI Technologist will work in partnership with patients and families to provide excellent customer service and adhere to the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) professional standards and STEGH's mission, vision, values, and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform magnetic resonance imaging scanning and review requisitions to ensure proper protocols.
  • Prepare patients for scan and review images to discuss findings with Radiologists.
  • Ensure patient care and safety during procedures.
  • Conduct quality control measures on system as recommended.
Requirements
  • Degree from an accredited Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program.
  • Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) in MRI.
  • Six months of recent MRI experience.
  • Possession of current BLS certification.
  • Able to demonstrate good stewardship in identifying, reporting, and mitigating unsafe acts or conditions.
