Restaurant Assistant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at Ontario Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Restaurant General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Restaurant General Manager in the overall management of the restaurant, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure they are meeting the high standards of customer service and food quality.
  • Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of stock levels and sales.
  • Monitor and control labor costs, including scheduling and payroll.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase sales and customer loyalty.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new menu items and promotions.
  • Assist with the recruitment and selection of new staff members.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Restaurant General Manager.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and labor control systems.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field an asset.
