Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant (PTA/OTA) to join our team at St. Joseph's Health Centre Guelph.
Compensation PackageThe successful candidate will receive a competitive compensation package, including:
- A starting rate of $30.65 per hour, with opportunities for advancement and increased earnings after 9 months ($31.25) and 18 months ($31.67).
This casual opportunity involves working day shifts, which may include weekends, in our Long Term Care program.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
- A graduate degree from a formal training program in Occupational Therapy Assistant and Physiotherapy Assistant at a Ministry of Education-approved community college.
- A minimum of six months experience in both OTA and PTA practice, with a preference for experience in hospital, Long Term Care, Outpatient clinic, or Rehab settings.
- Meetings of Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist competency checklists.
- Demonstrated good communication, accountability, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Time management skills and adaptability in handling changing workloads.
- A commitment to learning new skills and ability to function as a team member.
- A good attendance record and physical ability to perform tasks associated with the job.
