We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team at PCL Construction. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Supervise and direct project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and excellent customer service.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities, working closely with project managers and other stakeholders to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution and timely completion.
  • Develop and maintain effective project schedules, resource allocation plans, and budget forecasts to ensure project success.
  • Provide coaching and training to project team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of company policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in construction project management, with a strong background in site supervision and project coordination.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry practices, regulations, and standards, including safety protocols and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other project management software, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
