We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team at PCL Construction. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Supervise and direct project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and excellent customer service.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities, working closely with project managers and other stakeholders to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage and coordinate project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, working closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to project team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of company-wide initiatives and best practices, sharing knowledge and expertise with other teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive field supervision experience, with a strong background in construction management and operations.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of construction industry best practices, including safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, estimators, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other project management tools and software.
