Job Description

We are seeking an Experienced Financial Lines Underwriting Professional to join our Canadian team in Toronto, Ontario. This role will support our Canadian Domestic platform and play a critical part in evaluating and analyzing D&O, Fiduciary, Crime, and EPL Liability insurance risks for various clients in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and analyze management liability insurance submissions, including D&O, Fiduciary, Crime, and EPL Liability insurance risks.
  • Determine coverage terms, conditions, and pricing based on historical loss data, risk management practices, financials, and other relevant information.
  • Collaborate with brokers and clients to provide risk management advice and develop comprehensive insurance programs that meet their needs.
  • Negotiate policy terms, conditions, and pricing with brokers and clients, adhering to underwriting guidelines and profitability targets.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of financial lines underwriting experience, preferably in the Canadian market.
  • Professional designations, such as Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP), Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP), CRM, would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of Canadian insurance regulations and market trends.
  • French language skills are an asset.
