Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Property Underwriter to join our team at Zurich Insurance Company. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for analyzing and underwriting new and renewal business, managing an assigned portfolio of accounts, and developing and maintaining relationships with brokers and clients.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to build your knowledge and experience in commercial property underwriting. You will work closely with our experienced underwriting team to analyze complex risk profiles, identify potential exposures, and develop creative solutions to mitigate risks.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of commercial property insurance products, including liability, fire, and extended coverage. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in commercial property underwriting or a related field
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in commercial property underwriting
  • Knowledge of insurance industry trends and best practices
  • Experience working with rating engines and nat cat modeling
