Logistics Operations Specialist

This Warehouse Technician position is a key member of the Warehouse team at Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd., playing a strategic role in improving warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Fulfill customer needs by providing exceptional service at the parts counter.
- Ensure accurate shipping and receiving of inventory, stock shelves with items, and perform regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Unload trucks safely and efficiently, preparing shipping documents both internally and externally.
- Pack goods for shipment, assemble containers, and attach packing slips as required.
- Direct delivery trucks to designated off-loading areas, assist drivers with unloading goods, and unpack received goods into storage areas.
- Record shipped and received goods according to company procedures, tracing lost shipments when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of damaged or returned items, completing forms as needed and routing them correctly.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for pick-ups, deliveries, and inspections, ensuring seamless communication.
- Keep work environments safe and clean, adhering to site safety guidelines and best practices.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, other duties assigned as needed.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a warehousing environment, preferably within the mining industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Diligent and detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient computer skills, including working within a computerized inventory control system, SAP Systems experience an asset.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks involving heavy lifting, standing, walking, and repetitive motions, up to 50 lbs.
- Able to safely operate warehouse equipment and vehicles, possessing a valid driver's license in good standing.
- 14/14 day shift schedule on site, consisting of 12-hour day shifts, Monday to Thursday.
- Travel requirements based on business needs, flexible to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Manual dexterity required for using desktop computers and peripherals, adapting to new technologies as needed.
- Work may be required outside regular hours, as per business demands.
- The physical demands of this position include reading, writing, speaking, and listening, standing, walking, sitting, reaching, kneeling, repetitive motions, stooping, balancing, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
