Regulatory Associate for Financial Institutions

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Associate to join our Corporate Department in Toronto.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will provide advisory and transactional support on a wide range of financial services regulatory matters, including the regulation of financial institutions and other financial services providers.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing advisory and transactional support on financial services regulatory matters
- Assisting with the development of policies and procedures related to regulatory compliance
- Conducting research and analysis on emerging regulatory issues
- Supporting the preparation of documents and presentations for clients and stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A law degree and membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Excellent academic credentials
- A keen interest in the subject area and strong research and writing skills
- Poise, maturity, and a rigorous but practical and pragmatic approach
- Excellent interpersonal and client service skills, strong initiative, and the ability to work well on a variety of teams
- Experience in regulatory compliance, advisory, and transactional support in respect of various areas, including the regulation of retail payments, consumer protection, debt collection, AML, sanctions compliance, and emerging regulatory issues
The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a retirement savings plan.
