Lead a Community of Staff and Residents in a Hospitality Focused Environment

At Berwick Retirement Communities, we are committed to offering the highest quality in retirement living. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management, operation, and community engagement of our retirement community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and support a multi-disciplinary management team in developing, implementing, and monitoring all activities within the building.
  • Establish strategic community relationships with key stakeholders to enhance Berwick's operations, reputation, and promotion in the community.
  • Develop and set goals, ensuring accountability to goals under a continuous quality improvement philosophy.
  • Lead a team of staff and residents in a hospitality focused environment, fostering a culture of excellence and resident satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years management experience as a General Manager in a retirement community or similar experience in a hospitality setting.
  • Degree or diploma in gerontology, nursing, social work, hospitality, or business, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to draw people together in collaboration and possess strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
