Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Childventures Early Learning Academy Inc. As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including cleaning and organizing the play area, preparing snacks, and ensuring proper hygiene practices.
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and preparing crafts to promote their learning and development.
  • Support children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.

Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift children and participate in play activities.
