Job Title: ECE Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at Childventures Early Learning Academy Inc. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our early childhood educators in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our children.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including cleaning and organizing the play area, and preparing snacks and meals.
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing activities that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafts, and support their learning and development.
  • Support children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and assist with daily routines.
  • Prepare rooms and furniture for lunch and rest periods, and submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Availability to work 35 to 40 hours per week.
