Job Title: Part Time Youth Program Coordinator

The Corporation of the Town of Ajax is seeking a Part Time Youth Program Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our recreation team, you will be responsible for supervising youth in our spaces, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment, and implementing engaging activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise youth in the space, ensuring they meet age requirements and abide by all rules.
  • Plan and implement monthly theme nights and activities.
  • Maintain effective communications with parents, public, and co-workers.
  • Interact with youth and create a positive and supportive environment.
  • Monitor the arrival and departure of participants from programs.
  • Assist with the general maintenance of program space.
  • Promote an environment of safety and respect among participants.
  • Ensure all required organizational and administrative duties are completed in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 16 years of age or older.
  • Previous experience working with youth in a recreational setting.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and planning skills.
  • Self-motivated, positive, confident, and approachable.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification.

  • Rate of Pay: $19.56 per hour.
  • Hours of Work: Up to 24 hours per week, with a minimum of 1 weekday shift and 1 weekend shift per week.
