Job Title: Part Time Youth Program Coordinator

The Corporation of the Town of Ajax is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Part Time Youth Program Coordinator. This role will be responsible for supervising youth in the space, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment, and implementing engaging activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise youth in the space and ensure they meet age requirements
  • Ensure all equipment is being signed out, monitored while in use, and locked up
  • Plan and implement monthly theme nights and engaging activities
  • Maintain ongoing and effective communications with parents, public, co-workers, and supervisors
  • Interact with youth and create a positive and supportive environment
  • Monitor the arrival and departure of participants from programs
  • Assist with the general maintenance of program space
  • Promote an environment of safety and respect among participants in the program
  • Ensure all required organizational and administrative duties are completed in a timely manner
Requirements:
  • Minimum 16 years of age or older
  • Previous experience working with a variety of ages in a recreational setting
  • Excellent organization, time management, and planning skills
  • Self-motivated, positive, confident, and approachable
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification
  • Able to provide a current Criminal Reference Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) that is satisfactory to the Town
What We Offer:
  • Rate of Pay: $19.56 per hour
  • Hours of Work: Up to 24 hours per week, with a minimum of 1 weekday shift and 1 weekend shift per week
