About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Advisor, Regulatory Projects to join our team at The MEARIE Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of policies, protocols, and projects to innovate and improve our regulatory process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Regulatory Process Improvement: Develop and implement policies, protocols, and projects to enhance our regulatory process, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with applicants, intervenors, staff, and commissioners to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Regulatory Development and Analysis: Monitor regulatory developments in other tribunals, identify trends, emerging issues, and best practices for implementation at our organization.
  • Strategic Insights and Recommendations: Analyze relevant issues and provide strategic insights and recommendations to management, aligning with our organization's rules, practices, and procedures.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent our organization in stakeholder forums and venues, including engagements with intervenors, regulated utilities, and government agency representatives.
  • Project Management: Utilize project management tools and trackers to plan tasks and advance projects in a timely manner, tracking project-level risks, issues, actions, and decisions.
Requirements
  • Education: Undergraduate degree preferred in fields such as Engineering, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience working in a regulated industry and/or public utility, with 8+ years preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal, organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, and time management skills, with a proven track record of meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure.
