Job Title: Senior Advisor Risk and Regulatory

At National Bank of Canada (NBC), we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Advisor Risk and Regulatory to join our team. As a key member of our Risk and Regulatory department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the bank's compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage new projects and business initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and risk management best practices.
  • Provide expert support to the Risk and Regulatory team in achieving its objectives.
  • Review and analyze documentation provided by regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement new regulatory projects and initiatives.
  • Assist in developing a value-add regulatory offering for NBC client firms.
  • Proactively develop and manage positive relationships between the Risk Department and other stakeholders.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for regulatory compliance items.
  • Assist in managing department projects and lead various projects to meet goals and improve processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 7+ years' relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory environment in the financial services industry.
  • Ability to create efficiency, optimize, and add value in normal duties.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills in English, French would be an asset.
