The Oak View Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quick Service Assistant Manager to join our team at the Tribute Communities Centre. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for assisting in the effective management and running of our concessions operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the management and development of staff for 5 concessions stands, in-seat service, and vending stations.
- Supervise, coach, counsel, train, direct, and mentor employees in meeting company quality standards.
- Initiate and authorize all employment actions, including hiring, training, promotion, transfer, discipline, suspension, and termination.
- Ensure proper setup of all concession locations prior to doors opening, including verifying inventory, assigning duties, and ensuring sanitation standards are met.
- Provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise to ensure the smooth execution of events.
- Assist with Premium Services operations and events as required.
- Ensure compliance with all OVG and venue policies, procedures, and practices, including alcohol service and food handling/sanitation guidelines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests.
- Ability to make sound business/operations decisions quickly and under pressure.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Valid Food Handlers and Smart Serve Certifications.
- Six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The Tribute Communities Centre is a state-of-the-art sports and entertainment facility located in Oshawa, Ontario. As the home of the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League, the venue hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including concerts, sports games, and community events.
We offer a competitive salary range of $48,000 to $50,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, and paid time off.
