About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate professional to join our team as an Early Years Educator. As a key member of our EarlyON Child and Family Centre team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning, growth, and development of children and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide welcoming and inclusive environments that promote positive child, family, and community experiences and outcomes.
  • Engage parents and caregivers in conversations and experiences that support their role as their children's first teacher.
  • Support Early Learning and Development by providing experiences that build responsive adult-child relationships and encourage children's exploration, play, and inquiry.
  • Uphold health and safety standards, including regular cleaning of toys and materials, and work with parents/caring adults and other educators to ensure that our EarlyON environments are clean and well-maintained.
  • Respond to parents and caregivers' questions or concerns about child development through conversations and observations, using validated tools and resources, and linking to specialized services.
Requirements
  • Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) or actively enrolled in either the Bachelor of Early Learning Program or an Early Childhood Education program.
  • Knowledge and expertise in child development and play and inquiry-based learning.
  • Experience creating environments that nurture relationships for children, parents, and caregivers based on the latest evidence and research.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of How Does Learning Happen? Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years and experience delivering high-quality early years programs.
  • Relationship building, communication, adaptability, creativity, innovation, and teamwork are key competencies.
