About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Supervisor to join our team at Tomato E-commerce Inc. as part of our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. This role will play a critical part in supporting our organization's efforts to create a welcoming and inclusive work environment for all employees, particularly those from underrepresented groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees
    • Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees
    • Assist with immediate settlement needs, such as housing, transportation, and storage
    • Support social and labor market integration through access to community resources, language training, and skills training
    • Recruit and support displaced individuals, such as those from Ukraine or Afghanistan
    • Provide mentorship programs and diversity training to create a welcoming work environment
  • Support for Veterans
    • Participate in government or community programs that support veterans
    • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for veterans
    • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment
    • Recruit veterans and other candidates with military experience through targeted hiring initiatives
    • Assist with immediate transition needs, such as relocation and housing
    • Offer workshops, counseling services, and resources to help veterans navigate their transition into the civilian workforce
  • Support for Indigenous People
    • Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people
    • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
    • Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations
    • Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees
    • Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers
  • Support for Mature Workers
    • Participate in government or community programs that support mature workers
    • Apply hiring policies that discourage age discrimination
    • Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers
    • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for mature workers
    • Provide phased retirement options, such as flexible or reduced work hours, part-time employment, or project-based work
    • Offer resources to help mature workers plan their retirement, such as financial planning and access to pension and benefits
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
