Vintage Hotels is seeking a highly skilled Culinary Team Lead to oversee the preparation and presentation of meals and beverages in our esteemed establishment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all culinary team members have the necessary ingredients and supplies to prepare and serve menu items in a timely and efficient manner.
- Supervise and coordinate the preparation of soups, stocks, and other preliminary food items in accordance with menu requirements.
- Lead and motivate the culinary team to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
- Coordinate the setup and service of buffets and a la carte menu items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Conduct inventory control and ensure the rotation of food stocks to maintain freshness and quality.
- Review daily kitchen function sheets to ensure that all menu items are available and that special requests can be met.
- Arrange for the preparation and delivery of team members' lunches.
- Ensure that all kitchen staff adhere to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and food handling procedures.
Requirements:
- Certificate in Culinary Arts from a recognized institution with completion of an apprenticeship program.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a fine dining establishment.
- Excellent decision-making and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Current Safe Food Handler's Certificate.
