About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients and collect information from various sources to make informed nursing decisions.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
  • Teach patients and families about illness prevention, health restoration, and health maintenance to promote self-care and independence.
  • Document assessments, nursing diagnoses, interventions, and outcomes according to established standards and protocols.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing and current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Two years recent relevant clinical experience in critical care and completion of post-graduate coursework and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
