About the Role

We are seeking an experienced International Trade Coordinator to join our team at Laserglow Technologies. This is a key role in managing the international and domestic transportation of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries.

Responsibilities:

  • Import/Export Coordination: Manage the flow of goods from suppliers to customers, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and customs requirements.
  • Proactive Shipment Tracking: Monitor shipments across all modes of transportation (air, sea, and ground) and take immediate action to address and mitigate any delays, ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Controlled Goods Management: Oversee the secure transportation, receiving, and documentation of controlled goods in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Communication with Carriers and Suppliers: Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and freight forwarders to schedule shipments and ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  • Risk Mitigation and Issue Resolution: Identify potential risks in transportation schedules and take proactive measures to resolve or minimize delays in transit.
  • Collaboration with Warehouse Team: Work closely with the warehouse team to unload freight deliveries and avoid wait time charges.
  • Shipping Charge Reconciliation: Review and verify carrier invoices to ensure accuracy, addressing any discrepancies between shipping costs and quoted rates.
  • Document Management: Ensure all documentation for imports, exports, and controlled goods is accurate and complete, including customs documentation, HS codes, certificates of origin, and invoices.
  • Backup Shipping/Receiving Support: Step in as needed to assist with shipping and receiving duties, including preparing shipments, processing incoming goods, and ensuring proper documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics, with a focus on international shipping, import/export coordination, or transportation management.
  • Strong understanding of global trade, shipping processes, customs regulations, and controlled goods requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency working with ERP software and general computer applications.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include: dental care, extended health care, life insurance, on-site parking, and paid time off.
