About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Forms Carpenter to join our team at Brenta Forming and Framing. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials to build foundations, install floor beams, and erect walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions
  • Move tools, equipment and other materials
  • Organize tasks to accomplish the work
Work Environment

As a Concrete Forms Carpenter, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with minimal supervision. You will be required to work at heights, bend, crouch, and kneel frequently. You must be physically demanding and able to work independently.

Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry and framing
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Manual dexterity and ability to read and interpret specifications
