Brenta Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled Concrete Forms Carpenter to join our team. As a Concrete Forms Carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
Key Responsibilities- Layout Preparation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Construction: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Communication: Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions from supervisors or colleagues.
- Site Maintenance: Move tools, equipment, and other materials as needed.
As a Concrete Forms Carpenter, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, requiring physical stamina and manual dexterity. You will be expected to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and may be required to bend, crouch, or kneel.
Requirements- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Work Setting: Various locations.
