About the Role

Frisco Forming Ltd. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in the field of concrete forming. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
Work Environment

You will be working at heights, in confined spaces, and in a noisy and dusty environment. You will also be working outdoors and in a construction setting.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field, or equivalent experience.
Physical Demands
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
  • Handling heavy loads.
  • Large workload.
  • Overtime required.
  • Physically demanding.
  • Tight deadlines.
Tools and Equipment
  • Steel-toed safety boots.
  • Hard hat.
  • Safety glasses/goggles.
