The primary goal of the Business Development Partner is to onboard, develop, and support a team of developing Advisors in a holistic approach to business development, sales growth, and client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead developing Advisors through onboarding, training, and development programs.
- Work with developing Advisors to meet financial and strategic objectives, including sales growth, productivity, client engagement, and compliance.
- Ensure assigned Advisors are appropriately trained, licensed, registered, and following defined products and suitability to ensure compliance with regulatory and Sun Life obligations.
- Educate and support Advisors on the characteristics of the local market and the importance of operational effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain strong sales management and business development skills, as well as mentoring, coaching, performance management, and influencing skills.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve business plans and objectives.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an Advisor role, with a proven track record of developing successful Advisors.
- Previous people leadership experience would be an asset.
- Strong working knowledge of the regulatory environment.
- A valid Life Insurance Agent\u2019s license in the province in which your Financial Centre is located.
- A professional financial services designation would be an asset.
