The Role

We are seeking Senior Backend Engineers to join our high-performing engineering team and contribute to the growth of our product. As a key member of our team, you will work on building technology for technologists, collaborating with a PM, Designer, and other engineers in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and test features for our high-performance backend and infrastructure, adhering to a TDD mindset.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship features quickly while maintaining a high bar for code quality and product excellence.
  • Contribute to improving product effectiveness, team velocity, and continuous deployment capabilities.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers, helping them grow in their technical responsibilities and autonomy.
  • Assist in troubleshooting product operations, security operations, and urgent engineering issues.

Requirements

Your Background:
  • A proven track record of building high-quality, event-driven backends.
  • Expertise in building cloud-based backend apps with a microservice architecture.
  • Demonstrated skills in diagnosing and resolving issues and performance bottlenecks with event-driven, microservices-oriented backends.
  • Demonstrated expertise in high-quality Python code.
