The Role

We are seeking highly skilled Senior Backend Engineers to join our high-performing engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing features for our high-performance backend infrastructure. We are committed to building technology for technologists, and this role offers a unique opportunity to work on a fast-growing developer tool.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement high-quality features for our backend infrastructure, adhering to a TDD mindset.
  • Collaborate with a Product Manager, Designer, and other engineers to deliver features in a quick-moving, iterative environment.
  • Contribute to improving product effectiveness, team velocity, and continuous deployment capabilities.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers, helping them grow in their technical responsibilities and removing blockers to their autonomy.
  • Assist in troubleshooting product operations, security operations, and urgent engineering issues.
Requirements:
  • A proven track record of building highly performing, high-quality event-driven backends.
  • Expertise in building cloud-based backend applications with a microservices architecture.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in diagnosing and resolving issues and performance bottlenecks with event-driven, microservices-oriented backends.
  • Demonstrated expertise in high-quality Python code.
