Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our high-performing engineering team and contribute to the growth of our product. As a key member of our team, you will design, implement, and test features for our high-performance backend and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with a PM, Designer, and other engineers to ship in a quick-moving, iterative environment
  • Contribute to improve the product effectiveness and quality, team's velocity, and continuous deployment capabilities
  • Provide mentorship for junior engineers on your team to help them grow in their technical responsibilities and remove blockers to their autonomy
  • Assist troubleshooting product operations, security operations, and urgent engineering issues
Requirements
  • A proven track record of building highly performing, high-quality, event-driven backends
  • An expertise in building cloud-based backend apps with a microservice architecture
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in diagnosing and resolving issues and performance bottlenecks with event-driven, microservices-oriented backends
  • Demonstrated expertise in high-quality Python code

  • Python, microservices architecture, Kafka
  • React/TypeScript
