Job Description

We're seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our high-performing engineering team and contribute to the growth of our product. As a key member of our team, you'll design, implement, and test features for our high-performance backend and infrastructure.

You'll work closely with our PM, Designer, and other engineers to ship in a quick-moving, iterative environment. Your expertise in building cloud-based backend apps with a microservice architecture will be invaluable in improving our product's effectiveness and quality, as well as our team's velocity and continuous deployment capabilities.

As a mentor, you'll provide guidance and support to junior engineers on your team, helping them grow in their technical responsibilities and removing blockers to their autonomy.

You'll also assist in troubleshooting product operations, security operations, and urgent engineering issues. We're looking for someone with a proven track record of building highly performing, high-quality, event-driven backends.

Requirements
  • Proven expertise in building cloud-based backend apps with a microservice architecture
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in diagnosing and resolving issues and performance bottlenecks with event-driven, microservices-oriented backends
  • Demonstrated expertise in high-quality Python code
  • Experience with React/TypeScript and microservices architecture
