The Role

Some developers craft software. The best developers craft secure software. And the elite developers build the software that empowers developers to create secure software.

BoostSecurity is seeking Senior Backend Engineers to expand our engineering team and drive the growth of our product. We're building technology for technologists, and this opportunity will allow you to work on a high-performing backend team supporting a rapidly growing developer tool.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and test features for our high-performance backend and infrastructure, adhering to a TDD mindset.
  • Collaborate with a PM, Designer, and other engineers to deliver in a quick-moving, iterative environment, balancing speed with high-quality code and product standards.
  • Contribute to enhancing product effectiveness and quality, team velocity, and continuous deployment capabilities.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers on your team, helping them grow in technical responsibilities and removing blockers to their autonomy.
  • Assist in troubleshooting product operations, security operations, and urgent engineering issues.
Your Background:
  • A proven track record of building highly performing, high-quality, event-driven backends.
  • Expertise in building cloud-based backend applications with a microservice architecture.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in diagnosing and resolving issues and performance bottlenecks with event-driven, microservices-oriented backends.
  • Demonstrated expertise in high-quality Python code.
