Clinical Resource Nurse in Mental Health

About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Resource Nurse to join our team in Mental Health Acute Unit 2. As a key member of our nursing team, you will report to the Patient Care Manager and be responsible for facilitating the learning and staffing needs of the team.
You will also coordinate daily activities, assist with patient population decision-making, and accept special projects as assigned. Additionally, you will monitor unit supplies and contribute to continuous Quality Management activities.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate the learning and staffing needs of the nursing team
- Coordinate daily activities and assist with patient population decision-making
- Accept and complete special projects as assigned
- Monitor unit supplies in conjunction with the Patient Care Manager
- Contribute to continuous Quality Management activities
- Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Evidence of commitment to continuing education
- Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire
- CNA CPMHN certification preferred
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a CRN in Mental Health
- Ability to respond positively to stress, understand the impact of change, and demonstrate an ability to manage change
- Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
- Proven ability to work as a team member with peers, Program Leaders, Patient Care Managers, Professional Practice Clinician, Physicians, and other multidisciplinary professionals
- Ability to coordinate activities within all areas of the program
