We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Halton Healthcare.
This is a dynamic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive work environment.
About the RoleAs a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing Computed Tomography and X-ray imaging procedures in accordance with departmental policies and standards.
- Produce high-quality CT and x-ray images to meet departmental standards.
- Provide excellent patient care and communication.
- Prepare accurate reports to document procedures and test results.
- Organize and prioritize workflow effectively.
- Collaborate with patient care units, physicians, and external departments.
- Participate in quality control and assurance programs.
- Ensure medical imaging equipment is functioning properly.
- Contribute to teaching, training, and educational research.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A graduate degree in Radiography from an approved program.
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
- The knowledge, skills, and judgment identified in the CMRTO 'Essential Competencies' to perform the services and procedures within the scope of practice.
- Excellent problem recognition and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
- Commitment to service excellence and meeting patient/staff needs efficiently.
We offer a competitive salary range of $65-$80 per hour, depending on experience.
