Medical Imaging Specialist

Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Medical Radiation Technologist to join our Medical Imaging Team. As an integral member of the team, you will be responsible for performing Computed Tomography and X-ray imaging procedures in accordance with departmental policies, protocols, and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Produce high-quality CT and X-ray images to meet departmental standards
- Provide exceptional patient care for Emergency Department, Unit, and Out Patients
- Prepare accurate and detailed reports to document procedures and test results
- Organize and prioritize workflow to ensure efficient and safe operations
- Collaborate with patient care units, physicians, and other departments to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs to maintain high standards
- Operate and maintain medical imaging equipment to ensure proper function and safety
- Contribute to teaching, training, and educational programs to enhance professional development
- Adhere to organizational and departmental policies and procedures to maintain patient confidentiality and respect
- Graduate of an approved training program in Radiography
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Knowledge, skills, and judgment as identified in the CMRTO "Essential Competencies" to perform services and procedures within the scope of practice
- Ability to work autonomously or as a team player, with excellent problem recognition and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to service excellence and meeting patient/staff needs efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to handle stress and conflict management
- Leadership qualities and ability to meet physical demands of the position
