Project Engineer

As a key member of our team at Brave Control Solutions Inc., you will play a vital role in supporting our sales engineering efforts, engineering management, and technical delivery for assigned projects.

Reporting to the Divisional Director of Engineering, your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing pre-sales technical consulting to customers through meetings, site visits, trade shows, and other industry events
  • Gathering and analyzing technical requirements, performing technical assessments, and providing insights and recommendations
  • Developing solution concepts, estimates, and detailed quotes
  • Recommending technical project resourcing
  • Producing assigned project documents and deliverables in accordance with our company processes
  • Leading and facilitating Specialist and Lead efforts to produce assigned deliverables
  • Evaluating the engineering quality of project deliverables produced by assigned Specialists and Leads
  • Leading and facilitating technical status updates with internal resources
  • Attending and participating in regular customer status meetings
  • Purchasing hardware and other project-related goods and services in accordance with the project plan
  • Producing purchase orders and maintaining detailed order logs
  • Providing technical support for project scope management efforts
  • Participating in continuous improvement efforts of internal processes
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in an integration environment
  • Excellent understanding of controls, industrial automation, and mechatronic processes
  • Engineering degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or Technology diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Legally eligible to work in both Canada and the United States
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Experience with commissioning, start-ups, and troubleshooting of industrial automation projects
  • Willingness to travel to customer facilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical design as it pertains to automation
  • Supervisory experience as a group leader or branch manager
  • Experience estimating projects for materials and labor costs
