Project Engineer

As a key member of the Brave Control Solutions Inc. team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales engineering efforts, engineering management, and technical delivery for assigned projects. Reporting to the Divisional Director of Engineering, your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide pre-sales technical consulting to customers through meetings, site visits, trade shows, and other industry events
  2. Gather and analyze technical requirements, perform technical assessments, and provide insights and recommendations
  3. Develop solution concepts, estimates, and detailed quotes
  4. Recommend technical project resourcing
  5. Produce assigned project documents and deliverables in accordance with Brave processes
  6. Lead/facilitate Specialist and Leads' efforts to produce assigned deliverables
  7. Evaluate the engineering quality of project deliverables produced by assigned Specialists and Leads
  8. Lead/facilitate technical status updates with internal resources
  9. Attend and participate in regular customer status meetings
  10. Purchase hardware and other project-related goods and services in accordance with the project plan
  11. Produce purchase orders and maintain detailed order logs
  12. Provide technical support for project scope management efforts
  13. Participate in continuous improvement efforts of internal processes
Requirements:
  1. 6+ years of experience in an integration environment
  2. Excellent understanding of controls, industrial automation, and mechatronic processes
  3. Engineering degree in electrical or mechanical engineering OR Technology diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering
  4. Legally eligible to work in both Canada AND the United States
  5. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  6. Experience with commissioning, start-ups, and troubleshooting of industrial automation projects
  7. Willingness to Travel to customer facilities
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Advanced knowledge of electrical design as it pertains to automation
  2. Supervisory experience as a group leader or branch manager
  3. Experience estimating projects for materials and labor costs
