Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Land Development and Municipal Engineering (LDME) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team, driving business growth, and delivering projects across the Southwest Ontario region.

About the Role

The Regional Land Development Manager will lead our efforts in increasing market share for WSP in Land Development and Municipal Engineering. This includes building a high-performing team, developing and mentoring staff, and driving business development with existing and new clients. You will also be responsible for overseeing project management, financial management, and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement plans to increase market share for WSP in Land Development and Municipal Engineering
  • Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team in our Kitchener office
  • Business Development: Drive business growth through partnerships with clients and other disciplines at WSP
  • Project Management: Oversee project delivery to ensure client expectations and WSP standards are met
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience in consulting environments focused on land development projects in Southwest Ontario
  • Extensive project management experience in land development and municipal engineering
  • Registered as a P. Eng. in Ontario
  • Expert knowledge of the land development approvals process in Ontario with emphasis on Southwest Ontario
  • Strong client management skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license in Ontario
