About Our Client

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ICI estimator to join our team in the dynamic region of Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse and challenging ICI projects, ranging across commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors.

Job Description

As a Senior ICI Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for ICI projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and project requirements.

You will analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to determine project costs, solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing, and collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to identify project risks, opportunities, and cost-saving strategies.

You will maintain and update a comprehensive database of pricing, labor, materials, and subcontractors, provide input during the bidding and negotiation process to secure contracts, and stay current on industry trends, local market conditions, and innovations to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of ICI projects, from commercial buildings to industrial facilities, and develop your expertise in estimating and cost management.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in estimating within the ICI construction sector
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes in the ICI sector
  • Proficiency with estimating software and tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel)
  • Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, or a related field
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration with stakeholders
