Job Summary:

The Human Resources Professional at Saskatchewan Polytechnic is responsible for supporting clients with their staffing needs, including the attraction and retention of a talented workforce. This role involves providing job evaluation analysis and assisting with employee relations issues, guided by the employee life cycle model. The successful candidate will work with the human resource consultant team to problem solve matters and ensure consistent and effective service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the recruitment process, including job posting development, screening, assessment, interviewing, and hiring/onboarding, in support of client areas.
  • Consult with clients and human resource consultants to ensure current job information and classification, and identify special occupational requirements or unique opportunities for advertising strategies.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies for hard-to-recruit or highly specialized/skilled positions.
  • Ensure salary recommendations are appropriate and equitable, and collaborate with the Compensation and Benefits team as needed.
  • Assist in LR matters related to recruitment activities and process.

Requirements:

  • A diploma in human resources or a related discipline, with additional post-secondary human resource education and a minimum of two years of human resources experience, preferably with recruitment and selection.
  • A professional human resources designation and experience working in a unionized setting would be an asset.
