Director, Retail Financing

At Fairstone Financial Inc., we're seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Retail Financing team. As Director, Retail Financing, you'll be responsible for driving business growth, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the efficient operations of our large partnerships and business development department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a yearly strategic sales plan to maximize revenue stream
  • Identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities through relationships that align with our overall strategy
  • Lead, mentor, and support the sales team in key selling and customer service interactions
  • Motivate the sales team to achieve objectives through performance appraisals, coaching, and feedback
  • Hire and develop a talented sales team, establishing an environment of best practices through effective team mentorship, coaching, and leadership
  • Focus the sales team on profitable growth opportunities to ensure overall revenue targets are achieved
  • Monitor category-specific landscapes and trends, reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
  • Keep current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
  • Drive focus and execution across the sales team to ensure effective engagement in the account management process
  • Monitor and maintain profitability of portfolios, devising action plans to ensure profitability hurdles are overcome

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration
  • Five to seven years' experience in sales and business development
  • Experience in the financial lending industry
  • Three to five years' experience leading a team
  • Leadership, strategic thinking, communication, interpersonal skills, bilingualism, relationship building, change management, and problem-solving and analytical skills
