Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Hire and manage food service staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations.
- Food Quality and Safety
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, including food handling, preparation, and presentation.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that food products meet our high standards.
- Operations and Administration
- Prepare and manage budgets and cost estimates for food service operations.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Prepare and submit reports to management on food service operations and sales.
- Customer Service
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food products.
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Work Experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
- Skills and Abilities
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
Tipton's Your Independent Grocer is a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be required to work in a standing position for extended periods and perform manual tasks. You will also be required to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
