Food Service Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Tipton's Your Independent Grocer. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.
- Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
- Manage Inventory and Supplies: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Prepare Reports and Budgets: Prepare and submit reports, and prepare budget and cost estimates to ensure the efficient operation of the food service department.
- Address Customer Concerns: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
- Language: English.
- Work Schedule: 30 to 35 hours per week.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent oral communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
