Food Service Manager

Tipton's Your Independent Grocer is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure timely ordering and inventory management.
- Hire and manage food service staff, including conducting performance evaluations and addressing customer complaints.
- Prepare and submit reports on food sales, inventory, and labor costs to inform business decisions.
- Establish work schedules and ensure efficient use of resources to meet customer demand.
- 1-2 years of experience in food service management or a related field.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage staff and resolve customer complaints.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
Tipton's Your Independent Grocer is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires strong organizational and time management skills. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be working in a kitchen environment with a team of food service staff, and will be required to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Language:The primary language spoken in the workplace is English.
Work Schedule:The work schedule is 30-35 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
